Description: VERY EARLY KLIPSCHORN SPEAKERS 1952/1953 MATCHED COMPONENTS. USED. LOCAL PICKUP. Well, here is a pretty incredible set of Klipsch speakers. When I first encountered them, it hadn't dawned on me how special these speakers were or the fact that they have survived intact for over 70 years. They show some patina from their years of use, but man these are some of the best sounding speakers I have ever heard. In my opinion they annihilate the stale lifeless speakers that are produced today which have no soul. It saddens me to even list these for every person who has come through my shop and heard them has been enthralled. I still use them on a regular basis but feel that this injection of capital could really help me accomplish my goals for bringing more vintage stereo equipment back into circulation. It fascinates me that two separate individuals spent a significant amount of money roughly (425$) during the early 50's to purchase each of these speakers for their own home use. At this time Klipsch was a fairly new company and the speakers were changing rapidly new crossovers, midrange drivers, tweeters, etc. So, to have two speakers with the same components inside could only occur through a very small window of production. Then you have that individual who initially purchased one of the speakers tracking down a mate for their other speaker it's just incredible.
