Description: A very rare Springfield Models SE-5 sheet balsa kit for gas powered free flight. 12.5" wingspan. This is a die cut kit from early 1950s, put together by a lesser known manufacturer from Springfield, PA. The quality of die cutting is very good. The wings are preformed to an airfoil shape with the correct amount of dihedral. The plan (rather, an "Instructions Sheet") mentions that the model is designed for .020 to .035 engines thought I suspect the model would be more than a handful with the larger size engines. Other models in the series show a KB Infant which I believe would be the right engine. The box is in good shape structurally, with some wear and tear due to age. If you're interested, I can include free of charge the box for the Waco Biplane from the same series which I already built. This is an unused, unassembled, complete model kit. Box opened only for inspection. I combine shipping - if you win multiple listings please do not pay until you receive an invoice from me.
