Description: Nice early silver plate spoon by Atla. The hallmark on the back includes the torch mark with f.d.g. superimposed. That was sort of a silver plate Guild called the Faellesrepraesentationen For Danmarks Guldsmede in Denmark.Which translates to Th Common Representation of Danish Goldsmiths, they created it to be used by members of the guild onlyto represent quality silver plate items. This mark was registered in 1929. Then the rights to the torch mark was taken over by The Organisation Of Silverplate Manufacturers (Foreningen af Solvpletfabrikanter) in 1932 and the F.D.G. initials were eliminated from the mark. So this piece must have been manufactured from 1929 -1932. I have not touched it or polished it as wanting to preserve the original patina.
