VINTAGE ALTO SAXOPHONE NECK TUBE - UNFINISHED RAW BRASS no TENON ETC.

This listing is for a vintage alto saxophone neck tube. This is an unfinished neck, from one of the first stages of production. It is simply the raw brass tube (well 'cone' I suppose is more accurate) that has been formed into the shape of a alto neck. It has not been drilled for an octave pip, and includes no extra parts (no pip, tenon, posts, key, etc.). It is raw unfinished brass. Obviously there are no markings on this neck. It came in a box of necks from a repair shop that closed down. The box contained mostly vintage Conn necks from the pre-WWII period, which is why I speculate that this may have been from the Conn factory. That is only speculation though, so please check out the pictures, ask questions, and use your own judgement in making a determination. As far as condition goes, that is difficult for me to judge since it is an unfinished product. There are some minor pings and nicks. There are also scratches/scuffs from having been jumbled all together with a bunch of other necks, but nothing that wouldn't easily buff out if you actually planned to finish this neck. The end of the tube is splayed outward, but also dented in on one side. There is also a hole drilled almost at the very end of the neck. I have no idea what that is all about. I don't see any production flaws, but I can't guarantee that that is not the reason this neck was not finished. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks again for looking! BKTZlot
