Description: Here's a vintage little Kabar Bird & Trout hunting knife with original sheath. This knife was made during the time Kabar was owned by Cole National starting in 1966. They tried importing knives with the Kabar trademark and this is one of those. Made in JAPAN as stamped on the back of the tang and Kabar Olean NY 1228 on the front. However, if you don't look at the JAPAN mark you'd think it was a US-made knife. Measures 7" long with 3.5" stainless blade with long clip point. Used and resharpened. Brass guard and aluminum pommel with angle-cut butt as Kabar also did. Leather stacked handle with red, white and black spacers. Original leather sheath stamped KABAR looks like it was US-made. Not a common knife to find. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back. Check my Feedback.
