Description: Postcards of India were printed originally in the period of high imperialism between the 1880’s to 1920’s. These postcards are undated but were obtained in the 1930’s by a missionary to India. 15 postcards with descriptive titles at the bottom o each include: Indian Rath; Elephant Car; Indian Water Carrier; Punjabi Charkhe; Bedding Weavers; Maid Water Carrier; Camel Cart; Buffalo Cart, Monkey Trainer; Goat Baby; Grinding Corn; Indian Sontr; Fruit Seller; Indian Pottery; and Washermen. Some have tissue guard still attached in front. One postcard is loose and one is missing from the original 16. Postcards measure 5.5" x 3.5". Sepia toned. Printed in Saxony.
