Description: 1953-58 Recurve Bow restored new B55 Flemish string 66# 60'' Right handed This is a beautiful bow. No branding on her. Dating is from her glass and grip. Her only markings were 66# - 26" 1093 60" She has a leather wrap grip. She has a rust color on the face side and on the back side she is brilliant white. On the face side you can see the woven glass. These were very early bows when using fiberglass was just in the beginnings. She is strong at 66 pounds. I can't string a 66 pound bow by myself so it took 2 of us to string it. I can only pull this beauty back to about 58 pounds so I never had a chance to shoot it. You can see in the picture the thick limbs to the tip. Her grip is thin but feels great in the hand. I like a larger grip but this one is great to me. If I could shoot this I would have kept it. She is light weight and would be quick in the hand. Her grip and strike plate are original. Both were removed from the bow and conditioned to last another 60 plus years with mink oils and leather conditioner. Her limbs and riser were stripped of the old finish and a new oil finish was applied. There are no cracks or stress line on this bow. This would be a great addition to a vintage bow collection!
