Description: This is a fabulous Victorian “Percher” style hat! It is meant to perch high on the top back of the head and be fastened on with the black velvet ties under the chin usually on one side. It has all of the bells and whistles! The base of it is wired. It has netting over the wire which has come loose on the underside. It is decorated with black sequins. The front and sides are decorated with ribbon, Millinery flowers and beading. It is a bit dusty. I have done my best to clean it without destroying it as it is fragile. The velvet ties are still in good condition, though rolled from wear. I have rated it as AS IS condition even though it still displays beautifully and is in pretty good condition given that it is well over 120 years old!
